Audi reveals new RS Q e-tron E2 hybrid race car for Dakar 2024

The Audi RS Q e-tron E2 is a highly advanced electric hybrid rally car that has been designed specifically for the Dakar Rally. The car is the second evolution of the original RS Q e-tron, which made its debut in the 2022 Dakar Rally and won four stages.

RS Q e-tron

The RS Q e-tron E2 is powered by a combination of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. The engine acts as a generator to charge the battery pack, which in turn powers the electric motor.

The combined output of the system is over 600 horsepower, and the car has a range of over 200 miles.  The RS Q e-tron E2 is able to recover energy during braking and deceleration, which helps to extend its range. The car also has a number of other features that make it ideal for off-road racing, such as a long-travel suspension system and four-wheel drive.

The RS Q e-tron E2 has been extensively tested in the desert, and Audi is confident that it is ready to race in the 2024 Dakar Rally. The car will be driven by three experienced Dakar drivers: Mattias Ekström, Stéphane Peterhansel, and Carlos Sainz.  Audi is aiming to win the Dakar Rally with the RS Q e-tron E2 in 2024. The car is one of the most advanced electric vehicles in the world, and it has the potential to change the face of motorsport.

Aerodynamics

The RS Q e-tron E2 has a completely new aerodynamic package that has been designed to reduce drag and improve stability. The front end of the car has been redesigned with a new grille and headlights that are more aerodynamic. The rear end of the car has also been revised with a new diffuser and taillights that help to reduce drag.  The RS Q e-tron E2 also has a number of other aerodynamic features, such as a roof spoiler and underbody panels that help to direct airflow around the car. These features help to improve the car's efficiency and performance at high speeds.

Suspension

The RS Q e-tron E2 has a long-travel suspension system that is designed to handle the demanding terrain of the Dakar Rally. The suspension system has been designed to absorb bumps and impacts, and to provide the car with a high level of ground clearance.  The front suspension of the RS Q e-tron E2 is a double A-arm design with coil springs and adjustable dampers. The rear suspension is a multi-link design with coil springs and adjustable dampers.

The RS Q e-tron E2 also has a number of other suspension features that are designed for off-road racing, such as:  Long-travel shock absorbers Adjustable ride height Skid plates to protect the underbody of the car A differential lock to improve traction in slippery conditions Energy converter system  The RS Q e-tron E2 is powered by a combination of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. The engine acts as a generator to charge the battery pack, which in turn powers the electric motor.  The energy converter system in the RS Q e-tron E2 has been redesigned to be more efficient and more powerful. The new system is able to convert more of the engine's energy into electricity, which gives the car a longer range and better performance.

Cockpit

The RS Q e-tron E2 has a new cockpit that is wider and more comfortable for the driver and co-driver. The dashboard has been redesigned with a new layout, and the seats have been upgraded to provide more support.  The new cockpit is also more ergonomic, with all of the controls within easy reach of the driver.
